Evidence-based violence policy

Patrona collects anonymised, disaggregated data on incidents, support pathways, unreported cases and regional gaps. Federal and state governments can fulfil their duties on data collection and evaluation (Art. 11) and control the implementation of the Istanbul Convention.

Cost control & impact analysis

Violence costs the EU €366 bn per year and Germany €54 bn. Aggregated data on medical care, legal aid and follow-up treatment enable economic models — so policy can prove the return-on-investment of prevention and demonstrate long-term savings.

Digital coordination instrument

Patrona acts as the hub between healthcare, justice, social services and NGOs. It simplifies reporting to national coordinating bodies (Art. 10), reduces duplicate work, enables EU-wide comparative data and supports the unified strategy GREVIO demands.
